After being told she needed jaw surgery to rule out intracranial hypertension, Anna chose Vista Health for a brain MRI scan.
Why did you decide to have an MRI scan?
My surgeon needed to rule out cerebral hypertension before operating on me because I'm having jaw surgery. As a result, my primary care physician referred me to Vista Health for a brain MRI.
Describe the service you experienced.
An MRI brain scan with Vista Health was recommended by my surgeon. After contacting my GP, I was unable to schedule an appointment until four weeks. This worried me since I wanted a diagnosis as soon as possible so that I could proceed with my surgery. I contacted Vista Health's patient care team, who scheduled me for a next-day GP appointment. After that, a radiologist examined everything and advised me on which scan I needed.
What treatment did you receive after the scan and what did it involve?
During the MRI, I suffered panic episodes due to my claustrophobia. The people who worked there were patient and considerate. The team was extremely caring, reassuring, and supportive; they waited for me and assisted me in calming down. I would not hesitate to recommend the team at Stratford. How has using our service benefitted your life?
The next day, I received the report from the GP that Vista Health had scheduled for my referral, and I received the full diagnosis I needed. There is no need for treatment, but I am now able to schedule my jaw surgery.
