£115 - The Male Cancer Screen combines a finger-prick blood test and a simple stool test to provide early insights into two important areas of men's health: prostate health and bowel health. The test checks PSA levels, which can indicate changes in prostate health, and qFIT, which looks for blood in the stool that may be associated with bowel conditions, including bowel cancer.
What this test checks
The Male Cancer Screen assesses two key markers linked to prostate and bowel health:

Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA)
Measures PSA levels in the blood. Raised PSA levels can occur for several reasons, including an enlarged prostate, inflammation, infection or prostate cancer. PSA testing cannot diagnose prostate cancer on its own but may indicate when further assessment is appropriate.

qFIT
Looks for small amounts of blood in a stool sample that may not be visible. qFIT is used to help identify signs that may require further investigation, including those associated with bowel cancer.
Who is this test for?
The Male Cancer Screen is suitable for men aged 40 and over, or younger men who may have additional risk factors for prostate or bowel cancer. It may be particularly useful if you have a family history of prostate or bowel cancer, are concerned about your prostate health, or want to take a proactive approach to your health even if you feel well.
